What makes Årø a good place to produce wine in Denmark? Well, one could actually say it's the plants' view that does it. A small island like Årø, surrounded by water, has a completely different climate than just driving a bit into the mainland. The biggest difference is the amount of frost in the spring and autumn months. On Årø, we don't experience frost during these periods, which is a great advantage for wine production. At the same time, the water surrounding us means we experience a bit more sun than inland.
If you want to know more about how and why we produce our products, you have the opportunity to book a wine tasting or participate in one of the open wine tastings we have during the season.
