Our guide is ready to accompany you and guide you through Årø's landscape and environment, with stories about life on the island, its nature, and culture.
Guided Walking Tour - Short Tour
Join our guide on foot and experience the central island environment around us. Here you will hear the history of Årø By, the lifeline to the mainland, the ferry, and the development that has taken place on the island. The guide will take you around the town and you will pass by the small Aarø Kirke - "Christmas Church", "Kongsgården", several of the town's production sites, and end the tour back at Årø Vineyard.

Guided Tour - Large Tour
Together with our guide, you will go on a tour of the entire island using transportation. Here you will experience the very special Årø landscape, consisting of island nature with exciting fauna and flora at the beautiful beaches and in the beautiful field landscape. You will pass by the reserve "Årø Kalv". In these beach meadows, you can experience a rich bird life and especially several rare plants such as "Beach Lettuce". Årø Kalv is a bird sanctuary and may therefore not be visited during the breeding season from March 1 to July 15 - but you are welcome to pass by during this period with respect for the wildlife on Årø Kalv.
You are on an island and of course surrounded by the Danish sea - it's hard not to be captivated by the sight of Årø's beautiful beach and sea surroundings, where you have a view of, among other things, the Jutland mainland, the island bird reserves Bastholm and Linderum, as well as the islands Baagø, Als, and Fyn. On the way back to Årø By, you will pass by the small Aarø Kirke - "Christmas Church", "Kongsgården", "Brummers Gaards Bullade", and several of the island's local production sites. Richer for the experience, the tour ends at Årø Vineyard.

If you arrive in your own bus, our guide will gladly board your bus. In this case, the price is as above for the short/large guided tour - without rental of transportation.
Transportation can also be rented from Havnegrillen "Aarøs Perle
